1965 Studebaker Cruiser

Restoration -- July 1997

Recently I contacted Mr. Don Morgan, Ohio Regional Manager of the Studebaker Drivers Club and former owner of the Cruiser.  Don was able to provide me some valuable information about the Cruiser and some pictures of the restoration. 

Don says:  "These are the only pictures I could come up with.  I don't have any shot that I could find before I tore it apart.  I do know it only had a couple of places with rust.  There was also a worn spot on the drivers bottom seat.  Also, there were 4 blackwall snow tires installed.  I was the second owner of the car that came from the Cleveland, Ohio area.  It was (is) a nice car and placed 2nd and 3rd at several zone and national meets all over the country."

The pictures below were taken in 1996/97 and show the car in various stages of completion.  Judging from the pictures, it was in remarkably original condition.
